I sent an email to the gold buyers just asking them how to determine what your pieces were worth, without having to mail them to their headquarters. They responded by saying that they really cannot do an appraisal over the phone, so if whatever they offer is too low in my mind, then I do not have to sell gold to them, I can just ask for it back.
I thought that it sounded like a fair enough plan and requested one of the envelopes that they give you to send your items to them. I got the envelope within forty eight hours and right away put the things that I wanted to sell in there and sent it back. When I got an email from them stating that they could pay me eight hundred dollars for what I had sent them, I took the money. Eight hundred dollars for things that are just laying around collecting dust, sounded like a good deal to me.
